Handy tips for working with dates in SAP Business One

This week our experts show you some handy tips and shortcuts you can use when working with dates in SAP Business One.

To display today’s date:

Type any character on a data field e.g.: ‘s’:

This will automatically display today’s date in the field:

To display the date in n days’ time:

Typing +number will display today’s date plus the number of days that you typed in, e.g. typing ‘+1’ will display tomorrow’s date.

In our example the current date is 3rd, so typing ‘+1’  will display the 4th – the date for the next day:

To display the date in n months’ time:

Typing +numberM in the field will add the number in months from today’s date:

In our example, typing ‘+4m’ will show the date 4 months from the current date , i.e. February (2) +4m = June (6):

To display the date in n years’ time:

Typing +numberY in the field will add the number in years from today’s date:

In our example, typing ‘+1y’ will show the date 1 year from the current date, i.e. 2020 +1y = 2021:
