If you’re looking to clean up your BOMs, you can delete the ones you no longer need in one go with SAP Business One.

With the season of spring upon us, your thoughts might turn to doing some spring-cleaning of your Bills of Materials. Over time, BOMs can build up in your database especially if you are a production or distribution business. There may be many that will never be used again or have been replaced. While some businesses may wish to keep these in place, other businesses may prefer to delete them.

This can be a daunting task especially if you expect you have to delete them one by one. But fear not – it’s not as big a chore as you might think with our one-sweep tip!

How to delete multiple BOMs in one go in SAP Business One

Under your Bills of Materials Management:

1. Enter the ranges you want to delete in the Selection Criteria window.
2. Choose the task ‘Delete BOM Header’.
   
3. BOMs that match the parameters you defined are then listed and selected in the ‘Bill of Materials Management – Delete Header Preview’ window.
   
4. Once you are happy that only the BOMs you want to delete are selected, then click OK to delete.
